Tim Johnston
Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer of Prevail, Tim Johnston oversees the company’s strategic vision, operational effectiveness, and overall growth trajectory. He is particularly focused on developing and retaining top talent, optimizing Prevail’s operating system for peak performance, and ensuring the company consistently exceeds customer expectations. Tim’s previous role as Chief Revenue Officer at Prevail provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the market landscape and the inner workings of the company.
A native of Massachusetts, Tim earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Endicott College. He now lives in Colorado with his wife and three children and enjoys playing golf, hiking, and spending quality time with his family.
Phil Thomson
Chief Operating Officer
Phil Thomson is the Chief Operating Officer at Prevail, where he leads both our practice-level and centralized operations professionals in delivering world-class client service and efficiency. Prior to joining Prevail, Phil held multiple leadership roles, most recently as General Manager, Field Operations at Booster Fuels.
Phil brings significant leadership experience in areas such as operational excellence implementation, driving continuous improvement methodologies, and executing strategy on a large scale across multiple business units within the service sector. Phil’s prior roles include serving as Regional Vice President for National Express Transit, and Sr. Director of Operations for Smarte Carte.
Phil is a native of Buffalo, New York and earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Rutgers University. Over his career, Phil has lived in several cities across the country including Central PA, Boston, MA, Washington DC, and Scottsdale, AZ. He now resides in the Philadelphia metro area with his partner and 11 year old rescue pup, enjoys playing golf and is patiently waiting for the Buffalo Bills to return to the Super Bowl.
Stefanie Ratliff
Controller
Stefanie is the Controller at Prevail, where she leads the finance, accounting, and back-office functions of the company. She also assists in evaluating, completing and integrating acquisitions.
Prior to her work as Controller at Prevail, Stefanie acted as a Managing Director of Prevail’s Michigan office, overseeing all accounting, tax and administrative functions.
Prior to joining Prevail, Stefanie was Director of Tax & Treasury at Common Sail Investment Group where she managed all cash functions, the payroll tax department, and several finance functions.
Stefanie earned her B.A. from the University of Michigan, and her MST in Taxation & Accounting from Walsh College.
